You can keep your body and mind healthy and strong if you are free from any of the problems relating to phobias. If your problem is listed in any of the uncommon and unusual phobias, then you should consult a psychologist for immediate cure. Usually phobias are based on intense and obsessive fear of specific situations. When you are affected by any such phobia, though there is no imminent danger, you design your daily schedule in such a way that you avoid the situation or object which you fear the most. 

Phobias commonly occur in neuroses and may even compel or force you to change your lifestyle to prevent the circumstance or situation that trigger phobia. In case if you have any one of the simple or common phobias which rarely disturb your daily life, there is no need to be fearful. When you have a particular phobia, some unresolved conflict is retained and represented in you by placing the actual conflict out of your consciousness and focus. 

The common phobias are usually specific. In agoraphobia, you will have fear of leaving home and being in crowded open public places. 

Under arachnophobia you have a collective fear of spiders, although they are not harmful.  In acrophobia, you are afraid of heights, especially when you stand close at the edge of a hill or see outside the window of your fifteenth floor apartment. When you have extreme fear of heights manifested in your mind you can not even ride a glass fronted elevator. Get rid of these phobias with the help of a professional or by controlling your thinking process.
